Horse Racing Competition

3M63+VF3, Sheshi I Dëshmorëve, Dragash

In earlier times, this type of sport was also organized during family celebrations and weddings. Horse races were also held at the weddings of rich families. The first three places were awarded with gifts. First place is awarded with an ox, ram or sheep. Since the post-war period, this type of activity has received a great response, where horse racers from neighboring countries such as Albania and Northern Macedonia also participate in this event. The municipality of Dragash/Dragaš organizes horse race competitions every year, on the occasion of the day of the liberation of Dragash/Dragaš (the first Sunday after June 15 of each year).
