Mushnikovë/Mušnikovo Village Old School

5VFR+HJ Mushnikovë

The monument belongs to the category of architectural heritage and is located in Mushnikovë/Mušnikovo, Prizren. This building was built in 1905. This school building is located in the western part of the village, on an irregular plot. Old inventory elements, such as old school desks, cabinets, chairs, teaching materials and old documents, have been preserved in this building. However, after the end of the last war, this building was completely abandoned despite the fact that this school embodies the history of the establishment of basic education in the rural area since the first years of the 20th century. The school building represents a unique example of public educational buildings built at the beginning of the 20th century, where traditional construction techniques were combined with stylistic treatments influenced by Europe.
